We wanted to consolidate our various investments into one 'pot' and were attracted to Charlwood after a brief scan of the IFA's in our area, as they are a 'discretionary' IFA. After outlining our aims and detailing our investment portfolio via email we received a report explaining options for us.We had a face to face meeting with Jon Tuck at the Westbourne office at which he explained things in more detail. We signed the paperwork and that was it. Very simple. We look forward to having a local company look after our investments.The staff are responsive and polite. It is good to make a call without having to select endless 'options' and be kept on hold.

I discovered Charlwood in 2018 when looking to invest two pension pots. I was impressed by the returns they had been consistently achieving from their low to medium risk income portfolio. I also liked that they are Discretionary Investment Managers which basically means that they can react far more quickly to market changes. Eventually at that time I didn't do anything and I continued to work. However this year I have finally decided to take the plunge.The process starts (at least it did for me) with an analysis of my finances and needs, culminating in a free financial report which includes recommendations.My dealings have been with Martyn, Jon and more recently Andrew. Also not forgetting Amy. All have been absolutely excellent and I feel that I am in very safe hands.

To me the most important word when telling anyone about an IFA is TRUST. You have to have 100% trust in the firm you choose to use and I have 100% trust in Charlwood IFA. They have never let me down and without that complete trust I would not have let them have access to my inheritance. Over the years I have been impressed by their knowledge of the financial markets and situations, by their judgements, and how they really have made my money work for me (which was the prime goal). From not knowing anything about investments or savings, they have given me a basic understanding of how it all works – and what has also been important to me is the fact that should I feel the need to discuss financial matters with them, they are always available.
